We carved a pumpkin a couple days before Halloween. Eisley picked out what she wanted to carve and she wanted a girl monster. That night we went trick-or-treating. Both kids were dressed up as super heroes – Super Sister and Super Brother to be exact.

For my birthday this year, Courtney booked a weekend at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio. We wanted to spend time with the kids, so she chose a place that was perfect for families. It had several pools, a lazy river, slides, playgrounds and a place to roast marshmallows at night.

I took a day off of work and we made our yearly trek out to Sweet Berry farms on Thursday, October 6th, 2011. The kids picked flowers, completed a corn maze and chose a couple of pumpkins.

This Sunday was free museum day and we took the kids out to Pioneer Farms. Courtney and I hadn’t been there since we were kids. We had fun exploring all the old buildings and enjoyed a Biscuit Brothers concert before we left (although we were hot and hungry and glad when the concert ended).

Pictures

Finally getting around to posting pictures from Eisley’s 3-year birthday party. We opened presents in the morning as a family and then celebrated her birthday with all her friends at a Yoga studio. They held a yoga session for the kids (and some parents) and then Eisley got to open presents while her friends helped her. Later that day, Courtney and I took the kids to Phil’s Ice House and let them eat burgers and play on the playground.

Happy birthday Eisley. We love you!
