Wednesday marked one entire week that Eisley has been in the world. We have been so fortunate to spend that much wonderful time with our little one. Where has all that time gone? I wish I could say, but it is hard to keep track of time when you are floating along on a cloud. Some of the time we just sit and stare at her little face with the small features, and then other times we decide that we can’t just let her sit there without being hugged and kissed. Life is so overwhelming right now, but in such a good way.
On Monday we took Eisley for her first appointment with the pediatrician and she did great. Per the doctor, she seems to be doing quite well ‘on the outside’. She had lost four ounces in the hospital, but now is back up to six pounds eleven and a half ounces (half an ounce more than her birth weight). We take her back next week for the two week appointment, and then given that everything is fine, we won’t return until her two month check up.
Happy first week, little one.
I love her feet. They crack me up. Meaning I want to put them in my mouth when you’re not looking. She’s just so precious.
