Dear Eisley,

On Tuesday (9/30) you turned two months old.  Unfortunately we had to spend part of that day at the doctor’s office for your two month check up.  This included your first shots which was hard on you, and also hard on mommy and daddy.  You were quite the trooper, and the upside to things is that you now weigh 11 pounds and are 23 3/4 inches long.

Because of your recent growth, we started venturing into the stash of 0-3 month clothing that we have for you, and have actually put away a couple of things that you are now too big for (that was a little hard on mommy).  You are becoming more and more beautiful each and every day.  Both daddy and I cannot believe how many smiles you share with us.  You seem to be a happy baby, which makes your parents feel so accomplished and satisfied.  We are on the verge of making you laugh, and with each audibly quick exhale, we think we get just that much closer.

New hair is beginning to pop up on the top of your head, and it is the softest fuzz we have ever felt.  Your arms and legs are moving about so much these days that mommy and daddy have to watch out when those hands and feet are in motion!  In the past couple of weeks you have discovered your fists, which often end up in your mouth.  You also use those fists to bat at the little animals on your jungle mat and it is quite entertaining to watch.

We are planning a vacation in a couple of weeks, and it will be so much fun to take our first trip as a family of three.  We intend to take lots of pictures to show you at a later date because it will probably be hard for you to remember. :)

Eisley, you are doing such a great job at growing and discovering the world.  Our favorite thing these days is just to watch you intently as you open those big eyes and take in everything around you.  We couldn’t be happier or more proud that you are our daughter.  Thank you for making us so incredibly happy.

We love you,

Mommy and Daddy
