A little office reorganization recently uncovered this IKEA ad that we have been saving. To see why it’s funny, you really have to take a close look. Keep scrolling for a hint. It’s not exactly G rated.

So you lost a small white what? Court and I saw this sign posted in someone’s yard on our way out to my dad’s place.

This year Eisley was able to experience her first Halloween. ‘Experience’ is used loosely in this case because her holiday involved being dressed in a little orange and black, and taking a few pictures with our her pumpkin. We think she had a pretty good day, winding down with a comfy nap in her swing while we attended to the trick-or-treaters at the front door.

Happy Halloween Eisley!

Dear Eisley,

Thursday marked three months of life that we have celebrated with you. It is amazing to us how much growth and change have occurred just since you were two months old. Smiling happens all the time now, and I think both of your parents are addicted to seeing your little face light up. We are quite excited that you have shared some giggles with us, and daddy is the best at making that happen. You are so happy and content, which makes us feel like maybe, just maybe, we are doing things right.

We went on our very first family vacation this month, and you were absolutely the best baby. You got lots of attention everywhere we went, and I think your eyelashes are part of the reason. You have the most beautiful lashes, the perfect complement to your beautiful dark blue eyes. We took you on your first hike and you really seemed to enjoy the visual perspective from your carrier. Hopefully, we will be able to experience many more trips together as a family.

When we got back from our trip, you started sleeping in your crib. While it is such a great indicator of your growth, both mommy and daddy had a hard time making the adjustment. Mommy cried just a bit before putting you to bed the first night because you felt so far away. You really have made the transition with great ease, and we know in the long run we will all sleep a little better.

You can be quite the talker at times, and we wish we knew what was happening inside that head of yours. Just keep talking to us, and one day we will be smart enough to figure it all out. Your legs and arms move about with such strength, and we realize that before we know it you will be mobile. Know that mommy and daddy will encourage you all we can to grow and move about, but that we love you more than anything just the way you are right at this very moment.

We love you little one,

Mommy and Daddy
