Sunday marked our 6 year anniversary. We spent the day walking around the UT campus. Here are some pictures we took.

eisley-month-7Dear Eisley,

You are officially 7-months old now.  As Daddy put it the other day, you are closer to a year now than to the day you were born.  This fact makes Mommy a little bit sad, but only because it is a reminder that we cannot keep you as our tiny little newborn girl forever.  You are growing so fast (you will probably read and hear that said many times in your life) and it truly feels as if the universe is moving at a fast forward pace.

You are sitting up so well these days, and have decided that you are really anxious to start exploring your environment.  This exploration is typically carried out when you roll around on the floor, and then when on your tummy, using your strong arms to scoot yourself backwards.  Mommy and Daddy might look away for only a few moments, only to look back and find you off of your blanket and in another spot on the floor.  We are feeling a sense of urgency about getting the house a little better suited for someone so mobile and swift as yourself.

Your two bottom teeth are really showing up these days, especially when you flash that heart-melting grin.  It looks like there is another bottom tooth pushing its way out, and possibly a top tooth about to surface as well.  Those should all help in the adventure that is commonly referred to as ‘solid foods’.  I might have jumped the gun a little bit when admitting that we felt you would be a good eater.  You are doing really well with eating these days, but it has taken a little time for you to warm up to the idea.  You really like feeding yourself with the spoon, and so Mommy and Daddy definitely let you exert your independence that way.  So far you have tried brown rice cereal, prunes, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, apples, avocado, peas, bananas, and refried beans.

Other than the eating and moving, in the last month Mommy and Daddy have taken you on a few different excursions.  We took a short Valentine’s Day hike, and have gone swimming a couple of times (which you seemed to ease right into and like).  You also attended your first slumber party with Mommy and some of her friends, as well as your little friend Peyton.  Like always, you are so even-tempered and handle new activities with a very relaxed nature.

We love you very much sweetheart and enjoy watching every second that you grow and change.  How seven months of this kind of wonderful has happened to us we are not sure, but it does make us look forward to every month that is to come.

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy
