Last time she was over at her cousins’ house, Eisley loved the Leap Frog musical table that they had. So we went out looking for the same sort of thing and found the exact same version in great condition from Once Upon a Child.
Her new music table keeps her entertained for minutes on end. Which is more than we can say for most other toys.

Eisley’s first live sporting event was an arena football game between the mighty Austin Turfcats and the Huoma Conquerors of Louisiana. Aunt J works for the Turfcats so she scored us some season tickets. Eisley enjoyed the first half, but was pretty bored by the time the second half started.
We didn’t make it to the end, but I did get a score update from my sister: Turfcats 55, Conquerors 27. Who’s conquering now Conquerors? Yeah, that’s right, not you.

At Eisley’s last doctor’s appointment, Dr. Fasci acted surprised when Courtney told her that Eisley was still using her carrier as a car seat. So we got her a new one — the last one she’ll ever need. It’s just another reminder that this girl is growing up fast!

We had a beautiful Mother’s day weekend this year.
On Saturday we met Courtney’s mom Patti and Courtney’s sister’s family for lunch at Matt’s El Rancho. On Sunday, we met my mom and sister at a restaurant in San Marcos.
After lunch on Sunday we spread a blanket out in the backyard, opened a bottle of champagne and just relaxed for a couple of hours.
I had promised Courtney that I would cook her anything she wanted for dinner that night. So later on I cooked steak and shrimp. We ate outside in the perfect weather.
One of the best swimming holes in central Texas is located about 30 miles west of Austin at Krause Springs. We’ve been coming here since college and decided it was time Eisley got to experience camping.
Overall she did great. She seemed to enjoy herself most of the time, took a few naps in the tent and even went swimming in Cypress Creek and the spring-fed swimming pool.
