We wanted to spend time with the kids, so she chose a place that was perfect for families. It had several pools, a lazy river, slides, playgrounds and a place to roast marshmallows at night.

Courtney and I hadn’t been there since we were kids. We had fun exploring all the old buildings and enjoyed a Biscuit Brothers concert before we left (although we were hot and hungry and glad when the concert ended).

We went with Mike, Lindsay and their two kids – Finley and Bryson. We swam in the Frio River, hiked the trails, explored White Rock Cave, made smores and cruised the river in paddle boats.

Aunt J works for the Turfcats so she scored us some season tickets. Eisley enjoyed the first half, but was pretty bored by the time the second half started.

We didn’t make it to the end, but I did get a score update from my sister: Turfcats 55, Conquerors 27. Who’s conquering now Conquerors? Yeah, that’s right, not you.
