We carved a pumpkin a couple days before Halloween. Eisley picked out what she wanted to carve and she wanted a girl monster. That night we went trick-or-treating. Both kids were dressed up as super heroes – Super Sister and Super Brother to be exact.

I took a day off of work and we made our yearly trek out to Sweet Berry farms on Thursday, October 6th, 2011. The kids picked flowers, completed a corn maze and chose a couple of pumpkins.

On Saturday we celebrated Easter at our house with some close family members. On Sunday we went to Hondo and celebrated with Nick’s side of the family.

This year we got to celebrate a real Halloween with Eisley (last year she was too little to know what was going on). We started the day by cheering on Bryson at one of his t-ball games. Then we went out to lunch with Courtney’s family and then spent a little time at a Halloween party that one of my coworkers was hosting. Then it was back home for a little trick-or-treating.

We dressed Eisley up in her pig costume (a hand-me-down from cousin Finely) and set out to find some candy. After a brief tantrum (Eisley wanted to walk out into the street and we wouldn’t let her) we found our first house. Eisley knew just what to do. She picked up her basket and headed right to the front door. Her candy of choice was a Reece’s peanut butter cup. Good choice.

We visited a few more houses and even came across another little girl dressed as a pig along the way. We spent the rest of our evening rooting for the Longhorns and handing out candy.
